CRESTRON TO PRESENT NEW CONFERENCING SOLUTIONS AT ISR 2013

At this year’s Integrated Systems Russia, Crestron will present its latest presentation and collaboration solutions AirMedia™ and Crestron RL™, which bring the popular Microsoft® Lync® program into the boardroom.

Crestron RL™

Crestron RL™ is based on Microsoft® Lync 2013®, a popular and powerful server-based application that many companies use on a daily basis. Lync® enables video, voice, interactive content sharing, presence and chat from personal devices, such as a tablet or laptop, and Crestron RL™ integrates this all into one complete solution.

With one touch of a button, anyone can walk into a conference room and instantly start a collaboration session. Sharing desktop content with local and remote participants; viewing PowerPoint® and annotations over the slides as well as and sharing interactive whiteboard content either remotely or locally is easily carried out and simple to do.

“We are pleased that Crestron has launched a Lync Room System product to market,” says Giovanni Mezgec, General Manager for Lync® Product Marketing at Microsoft®. “Crestron’s strong experience in providing great conference room solutions across the world, combined with Microsoft® Lync’s powerful software capabilities has produced a ground-breaking solution that takes collaboration and communication to a new level.”

Crestron RL™ offers a host of exciting features. Only Crestron RL™ links to all other systems (IT, AV, lighting, HVAC) in the room to offer complete room and collaborative control. Crestron RL™ also communicates with Crestron Fusion™ software that collects and reports valuable usage data about all connected systems. This feature can then be used to intelligently manage the room and provide remote help desk support from any web-enabled device.

AirMedia

Also to be shown at InfoComm is AirMedia™, Crestron’s presentation, collaboration and content sharing platform for small to mid-size organisations. The AirMedia™ platform easily connects to a network and is ideal for smaller spaces where the installation of an advanced AV system is not practical. Due to its compact form it is easily hidden behind flat panels or above a projector.

AirMedia™ brings presentation, collaboration and content sharing capabilities to a small space, without the need for a fully integrated AV system so is ideal for use with all of today’s popular mobile technologies. The ultimate standalone collaboration tool, AirMedia™ can wirelessly present audio and video content to a room display, or be viewed remotely from a personal smartphone, tablet or laptop. This allows collaboration and sharing content from up to four personal devices simultaneously on one central display. The Remote View option lets participants in other locations log in from a web browser, or plug in a pre-loaded USB drive to view and save presentations, thus creating the ideal solution for remote workers or international contributors.

Crestron’s range of collaboration platforms can provide a solution for any need. Whether requiring a simple out-of-the-box platform or a complete packaged solution for the boardroom - integrating the power of Microsoft® Lync® and wider environmental controls – Crestron AirMedia™ and Crestron RL™ is the ideal solution.
